Nuit Blanche KYOTO 2018

At Nuit Blanche KYOTO 2018, a spatial exhibition in collaboration with soundscape artist Nadine SCHÜTZ will take place in the ground floor gallery of the Kizunoya Building.

Beyond the sixth sense – Araya Sense
ALPHAVILLE x Nadine SCHÜTZ

A tunnel-like exhibition space that amplifies the unique image of the original jewellery workshop “Kizunoya”, where the dead are mourned, and a soundscape to be experienced inside. The collaboration between Japanese and European architects transcends the East and West, and through the interception of the five senses of sight and hearing, provides visitors with a space that brings them closer to the sixth, seventh and even the eighth sense, ‘Arayashiki’, which lies outside of them.

A monochrome circus improvised contemporary dance performance will take place in the exhibition space from 19:00, 20:00 and 21:00, lasting approximately five minutes.
