New Kyoto Town House won the Excellence Award of the 1st Kyoto Architecture Award.
The judges were somewhat harsh, saying that they wanted a proposal that went one step further in response to landscape regulations,

I am honored to receive this award from Mr. Kazuro Kishi, whom I admire very much.
