Koyasan Guest House Upper Building
The last stop on Nankai Railway’s Koya Line is the cable line, which climbs a steep incline to access the sanctuary.
The guesthouse we are planning to build in Koyasan, a World Heritage site, has been topped out.
The structure is a one-story building made of 2×4 timbers, a small collection of timbers, and was designed with Mr. Manda, a structural engineer, and Kimura Construction Company to have the characteristics of both panel construction method and conventional wooden construction.
The blue sheet turns into a roof, but the design allows natural light to fall from the top of the gap.
The interior work will now begin, but the structure will also function as an interior.
The ridgepole raising ceremony was held in a Buddhist ceremony.
